Josh Dyszel, CEO & President

Meet Josh…

In 2009, Josh launched Recruit and Field, following in the footsteps of his mother Bette Dyszel. As a 2nd generation qualitative professional, Josh is committed to his mother's legacy and his family's dedication to their employees, clients and the qualitative research industry. Josh strives to maintain R&F’s position as a creative and forward thinking company. He continuously invests in advanced technology while evaluating new and evolving research tools.

Bette Dyszel was a pioneer in qualitative research and Josh is passionately committed to his team of professionals who operate on the basis of accountability, proactive thinking, and exceptional service. Josh was raised in the qualitative research business and holds a B.A. degree in Business Information Systems, a combination that allows R&F to stay at the forefront of digital platforms.

Spending time with his two sons is a top priority for this young President, as well as giving back to his community and helping a variety of local non profit organizations.

Kristin Ameruoso, Vice President of Qualitative Research

Meet Kristin…

You name it, Kristin has done it here at Recruit and Field. From Insights Coordinator to Project Manager, to the current VP at R+F – Kristin knows the world of research and the ins and outs of recruiting. Since she was promoted to director in 2014, Kristin’s responsibilities include leading our team of project managers and recruiters while also managing key projects. As Vice President, Kristin's focus has been on the retention and growth of client relationships.

Kristin loves to motivate her team and see them accomplish great things. When she’s not in the office, Kristin loves to spend time with her daughter. She also hopes to start blogging on fitness and travel very soon. Even though Kristin has been with R+F for years – we still learn something new about her every day. For instance – Not only is she a Zumba instructor, but she is also a poet… and we didn’t even know it.

Andres Zuluaga, Operations Leader

Meet Andres…

Andres graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a B.A. in Political Science & an M.A. in Public Policy. He now works directly with clients and oversees his recruiting team.

Andres started working in the Market Research industry in July 2013 as a Receptionist and QA in NYC, and in just one year, he was promoted to Project Manager.

In 2015, he decided to take an opportunity with Recruit & Field because he wanted to experience the industry from a different perspective. Andres left the industry temporarily in 2018 to pursue some other interests, but his love for the industry bought him back to the RAF Team!

When Andres is not working, he is happiest whenever he is with his friends; whether going out for a night on the town, watching a Yankees or Giants game, or discussing who would win in a fight between Thor and Superman!

Andres’ Motto: Adapt, Improvise and Overcome

Jill Martensen, Strategic Leader, B2B Department

Meet Jill…

Jill was born in Houston, TX, but it was in the city of Chicago, IL, where she truly blossomed. Pursuing studies in Marketing & Management at Columbia, Jill embarked on her professional voyage as a market research recruiter. Her trajectory led her to become a project manager specializing in qualitative research within the healthcare sector.

After having her first child, Jill took an extended maternity leave and discovered an innate leadership calling. Swiftly assuming the role of Chairperson on the LSC (school board President) at her children's elementary school, she demonstrated her exceptional organizational skills by spearheading fundraising efforts. Under her guidance, the school secured funds amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars, resulting in the establishment of a science lab, computer lab, and installation of smart boards in every classroom.

A true dynamo in a fast-paced environment, Jill thrives on overcoming challenges, embodying what she affectionately calls the "Only child from Texas attitude" – a belief that no task is too formidable to conquer. Rejoining the workforce in 2014 at Smith Research, Inc., Jill excelled in working on global B2B qualitative market research projects for the next decade, gaining invaluable insights across diverse industries.

Beyond her professional achievements, Jill is the proud mother of three adult children. Outside the office, she and her husband of 30 years have found a unique hobby in an Axe Throwing League, showcasing their adventurous spirit. Their shared passion for punk, goth, and industrial music persists, as they attend concerts of the bands that formed the soundtrack of their early dating days. Jill humorously acknowledges occasional moments of self-reflection (when did they/we get OLD?) during concerts but remains enamored by the enduring spirit of these legendary performers. Together, they continue to rock on!
